The application forms need to be returned by 16th August 2009.
The form asks for your Scouting background and it would help if this included the following information, if applicable: -
- Why you want to attend
- Your Scouting background
- What you want to achieve from Scouting
- Achievements in Scouting
- Number of years in Scouting
- Number of nights away
- Patrol leader or assistant patrol leader
- Cheshire Hike
- Young Leader and which section and for how long and any training for YL
- If you have helped on camps for other sections.
- Any other information you might think relevant
This information will be used to help decide who should go, but don't worry if you have not achieved all the above as the selection process takes in lots of information over the next few months.
Selection weekend Camp at Forest Camp on the 26th and 27th September 2009 at the camp you will have a short interview to see why you think you should go, it would help you if you have thought about what you will say before you go on the camp.
Fundraising for the costs of the Jamboree:-
You and your parents/guardians will need to help with the fundraising (last year they did about 12 events, but the cost was only £900/child).
Training camps: -
You will be expected to attend several weekend training camps over the next few years (last year they did about 6 weekends).
