The Chester District Explorers.
The District Explorer Leaders and young members at the District meeting (Oct 2008), decided to hold more District events and the plans are for a It's a Knockout sometime in November at possibly Forest Camp, followed by a hot pot supper and Karaoke (at which several leaders have promised not to sing = to make musical sounds with the voice, usually a tune with words..... not when I try?).
The success of this event will only be achieved if we get the majority of the District Explorers to attend. To do this we need help form each unit. It was suggested that each unit should run a base for the It's a knockout and Wolf will also provide the kitchen equipment for the hot pot supper.
It will only work if we all help, so if you are a Explorer from the Chester District and have any ideas for this event or items for this web page please ask your leader to email Wolf Explorers.
The Date for the Chester District Explorers Scavenger Hunt is the 29th November 2008

Explored Badge Work
This web page is designed to help you achieve as many badges within Explorers as you want to put the effort into. You should all be aiming for the Chief Scouts Platinum Award.
Badge work will always be part of our Explorers programme for the year. Some of these badges can be carried out at home or school, so if you read through the list of badges below and find a badge you would like to know more information on and you will be able to print out the details. If you would like to complete the badge or think this badge can be completed at home or school, then bring the printed information to the next Explorers meeting and we can then discuss what options are available to you for completing the badge.

Requirements for the following badges are listed in this section:
Badges shown as 'discontinued' may still be awarded until December 2007 (while stocks last)
In addition to these, there are six Activity Badges staged across these Sections.
These are:
The Staged Activity Badges have been designed to provide a unified approach throughout the Sections.
All the Staged Activity Badges have 5 stages, except Nights Away - which has 12 and Hikes Away, which has six. This means that a young person can gain whichever badge is appropriate to the level they have reached. It is possible, for example, for a Beaver Scout who is an excellent swimmer to gain a higher level badge than a Scout who has just taken up the activity.
